“Few Out Of Many”
Memorial To The Rescuers of Jews during WWII Proposal, shared 1.-2.nd Prize at the open International competition 2005
“Few out of many risked their lives to save Few out of many were saved”
There are countless hands reaching for help made of dark bronze. They symbolize Jewish community, which was being annihilated during the WWII in Latvia. However, several of these hands are brighter, made out of polished bronze. These symbolize those who were rescued and saved by local citizens.
The proposal site is located next to the burnt down synagogue in Riga city.
